IN THE FIELD SINCE 1952
Connor Shea began as an Australian agricultural machinery manufacturer in the early 20th century. The company was founded by James Connor and Albert Shea, who aimed to produce high-quality seeding and tillage equipment suited to Australia’s demanding farming conditions.
The company quickly became known for its durable and innovative designs, helping to mechanize farming across the country. Over the decades, Connor Shea expanded its product range to include air seeders, disc drills, and other essential agricultural tools, earning a strong reputation among Australian farmers.
In 2001, Connor Shea merged with John Shearer, another well-known Australian agricultural equipment manufacturer. Today, the Connor Shea legacy continues under the John Shearer brand, with its designs and innovations still influencing modern seeding and tillage equipment.

NEW Connor Shea DDS-3
double disc drill
Connor Shea, a leading manufacturer of seed drills, are proud to announce the release of the new Liteline Series Drill for renovating pastures. The Liteline seeder is designed as an entry level machine for sowing a variety of seeds from small seeds to wheat and peas. The large seed and fertilizer hopper can hold up to 1000lt with a variable split.
The new drill comes standard with an infinitely adjustable gearbox to allow small increment changes to the sowing rates on each individual bin. The machine is setup to allow easy calibration with included calibration trays.
Benefits of a double disc include, more uniform seeding depth, reduction of draft forces, trash handling ability and reduced soil disturbance at faster sowing speeds. In some cases, disc openers are more suitable than tynes when sowing into rocky conditions due to their ability to roll over the obstacle.
Sowing with a double disc opener leaves a smoother soil profile and will assist in reducing water runoff. The double disc opener is a true parallelogram to optimise seeding accuracy which helps to maximise germination and yield.
